[EN/PL] o2 UK, iPhone and SMS Delivery confirmation/ o2 UK, iPhone i potwierdzenia dostarczenia SMSów

When I came to UK few years ago I was amazed to find that o2 UK does not send delivery reports back for sms messages. However if you send an MMS you get a delivery report ok.
Confirmation about the delivery of SMS messages can be set up for most phones:

• in the phone's menu or
• if your phone is iPhone (seriously, iPhone lacks the ability to get sms delivery confirmation reports) or if your mobile operator does not send delivery reports by entering the characters *0# (star, zero, hash, space) in front of the text of a message (the recipient will not see them).

I suggested to set the above as a template to make life easier.

Unfortunately for iPhone owners, other mobile networks use different codes to force sending SMS delivery reports.

Kiedy kilka lat temu przyjechałem do Wielkiej Brytanii, ku mojemu zaskoczeniu odkryłem że sieć o2 nie obsługuje raportów dostarczenia wysłanej wiadmości SMS. Za to obsługuje je dla wiadomości MMS.
Potwierdzanie dostarczenia wiadomości SMS może być ustawione dla większości telefonów:

• w menu telefonu
• jeśli twój telefon to iPhone (poważnie, iPhone nie obsługuje potwierdzeń dostarczenia wiadmości SMS) lub sieć komórkowa z której korzystasz nie wysyła takowych potwierdzeń (jak o2 UK) przez zaczęcie wiadomości SMS znakami *0# (gwiazdka, zero, hash, spacja), których to odbiorca nie zobaczy w odebranej wiadomości.

Proponuję utworzyć wzór (template) wiadomości z powyższymi znakami w telefonie by sobie ułatwić życie.

Niestety dla właścicieli telefonów iPhone kody te często są różne w poszczególnych sieciach.
